‘Deadpool 2’ green band trailer briefly recaps the first movie while poking fun at man-buns

As you may recall, 20th Century Fox unleashed a new red band trailer for Deadpool 2 last week and it was packed with all sorts of violence and profanity, which is to be expected from a movie featuring the Merc with a Mouth as the main character. However, the latest trailer for the film cleans things up just a tad.

Indeed, a new green band trailer for Deadpool 2 has been released and, although it is quite similar to the previous trailer, you may notice a few changes, including the addition of a couple of new shots and dubbed lines, the most notable change being the inclusion of the gag at the end when Wade Wilson pokes fun at the “millennial mullet” known as the man-bun.

Additionally, the new green band trailer also includes a quick recap of the events of the first Deadpool movie, which should come in handy for those of you who have yet to see the original or simply need a refresher given the fact that it’s been over two years now since the character’s solo debut opened in 2016.

Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds, Zazie Beetz, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Terry Crews, Bill Skarsgård, Morena Baccarin, Jack Kesy, T.J. Miller, Julian Dennison, and Stefan Kapicic, and will arrive in theaters on May 18.

‘Deadpool 2’ final trailer further introduces the members of the X-Force, pokes fun at the DCEU

With a little less than a month to go until Deadpool 2 opens in theaters next month, 20th Century Fox has released the final trailer for the upcoming sequel starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth and it reveals a bunch of new footage of the X-Force in action.

While the previously trailer only very briefly introduced us to the members of the X-Force team, our latest look at Deadpool 2 gives us a much closer look at the supporting cast, which includes Zazie Beetz’s Domino and Terry Crews’ Bedlam. We also see a pretty brutal interaction between Deadpool and Cable (Josh Brolin) that manages to squeeze in a line poking fun at the DC Extended Universe.

I still can’t say I’m 100% sold on Deadpool 2 as I’m still a bit turned off by the previous trailers we’ve gotten in recent months, but I will say that I’m staying cautiously optimistic for the sequel. The final trailer is definitely a pretty big improvement over the others.

For Deadpool 2, John Wick co-director David Leitch is behind the camera directing from a script written by returning screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The film also stars T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, and will hit theaters on May 18.

‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ final trailer offers our best look yet at the action-packed sequel

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been a huge fan of the Jurassic Park franchise. The movies have never really piqued my interested and my eyes pretty much rolled to the back of my head when I first heard about the Jurassic World trilogy a while back.

That being said, while I don’t necessarily care much for Colin Trevorrow’s first installment in the Jurassic World trilogy, nor am I looking to the next one he is co-writing and directing, I must say that J.A. Bayona’s highly anticipated Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom looks like an absolute blast. This is the type of Jurassic Park movie I’ve been waiting for.

Per the film’s official synopsis, when Isla Nublar’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their mission uncovers a conspiracy that could return the entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

As someone who is a massive fan of J.A. Bayona’s 2016 fantasy drama A Monster Calls, which didn’t receive nearly as much attention around awards season as it should have, I’m pretty excited to see what the filmmaker as in store for us with his latest effort. Jurassic World also stars Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, James Cromwell, Ted Lavine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, and will hit theaters on June 22.

The creepy new trailer for A24’s ‘Hereditary’ is here to make sure you don’t sleep tonight

A24’s upcoming horror release Hereditary is undoubtedly my most anticipated film of the year at the moment and the latest trailer for writer-director Ari Aster’s breakout horror sensation that shook festivals like Sundance and SXSW earlier this year is only making me more excited to see what the filmmaker has in store for us.

Per the film’s official synopsis, Hereditary picks up just after Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away. As described in the trailer by Annie (Toni Collette), Ellen’s daughter, she was a “very private woman” who “wasn’t altogether there at the end” of her life. But when Annie begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about her ancestry, she begins trying to outrun the sinister fate she and family seem to have inherited.

While the first trailer for Hereditary seemed to focus more on Collette’s character, our newest look at the film puts Charlie (Milly Shapiro) front and center. Oh, and as if this trailer wasn’t creepy enough, the brilliant marketing team over at A24 has launched a fake Etsy profile under the username “CraftsByCharlieG” showcasing some of the weird little dolls Charlie creates in the movie.

Though I’ve already had a peek at the film’s script and read all 156 pages (I’ve never cared much about spoilers), I’m still very eager to see how Hereditary, which also stars Gabriel Byrne and Alex Wolff, plays out on the big screen when it opens in theaters this summer on June 8.
