It feels like it was just yesterday when we were all gushing over our first look at Edgar Wright’s highly anticipated music-infused heist movie, Baby Driver. The film had its world premiere at the 24th edition of the South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival last month where it was met with rave reviews and, shortly after the overwhelmingly positive reaction, was moved up from its August release date to a much closer June release.
Scored to the sweet sounds of Golden Earring’s “Radar Love,” the latest trailer for Baby Driver further reveals the film which follows a young getaway driver named Baby, played none other than Ansel Elgort, who heavily relies on the use of his personal playlist to be the best in a dangerous criminal underworld. When he meets the girl of his dreams, a diner waitress played by Lily James, he sees the opportunity of a lifetime to ditch his driving gig once and for all. However, it seems as if his contractual obligations with a crime boss, one played by Kevin Spacey, won’t permit him to do that, and a doomed heist threatens everything from his life, to his love, and even his freedom.
While it’s barely over a minute long, Baby Driver’s new trailer really does put the pedal to the metal with plenty of new footage, including some incredible shots of the stunt driving and Spacey’s dangerously calm antagonist. Given Wright’s impressive list of credentials, including the likes of Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Hot Fuzz, as well as the film’s perfect 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Baby Driver is destined to be one of the best movies of the year.
Baby Driver will hit theaters on June 28, 2017. Be sure to check out the new trailer above and let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

Paramount taps ‘Fargo’ creator Noah Hawley to write, direct next installment in ‘Star Trek’ series
Fresh off the release of his feature directorial debut Lucy in the Sky last month, Noah Hawley has been set to write and direct the upcoming next installment in the Star Trek franchise, according to Deadline.
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and the rest of the principal cast are all expected to return for Star Trek 4, which Hawley will also produce for his 26 Keys banner along with JJ Abrams and Bad Robot.
The film is not in any way related to the R-rated spinoff Abrams and Quentin Tarantino have been developing with writer Mark L. Smith and will serve as a direct sequel to 2016’s Star Trek Beyond.
S.J. Clarkson had been attached to direct Star Trek 4 as recently as last year and was poised to become the first woman to helm a film in the sci-fi series but reportedly parted ways with the project after development stalled in mid-2018.
Hawley — perhaps best known for his work on FX series such as Fargo and Legion — recently made his directorial debut with the Natalie Portman-led drama Lucy in the Sky, which tanked at the domestic box office amid harsh reviews from critics.
Production on Star Trek 4 is expected to get underway in 2020.
