Disney promised and they delivered. The long-awaited second trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi debuted during halftime on Monday Night Football and it further reveals what fans can expect from Rian Johnson’s new chapter in the Skywalker saga starring Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega.
While specific plot details surrounding Star Wars: The Last Jedi are being kept tightly under wraps by Lucasfilm, we do know that the film picks up right after the events of 2015’s The Force Awakens and follows Luke Skywalker, Rey, and Finn as they embark on an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the force and shocking revelations of the past.
In addition to the trailer, a fresh new one-sheet for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was also unveiled earlier this evening, which includes the late Carrie Fisher’s General Leia Organa and Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren front and center, as well as characters played by Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, and Gwendoline Christie below them.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will open in theaters nationwide on December 15, 2017.
