Denver had a.38-caliber revolver and Bennett had a shotgun of 410 caliber. Wooten was a 9-mm pistol. During the home invasion, Marcos Ramirez died from his injuries. Court documents don’t indicate the number of times that the victim was shot or the identity of the shooter. Indictment adds an additional count of aggravated attack because Bennett allegedly had a gun in his head.
Wooten was convicted of three counts each of felony murder and armed robbery as well as home invasion, aggravated attack, and possessing a firearm while committing a felony. Bennett agreed to a plea bargain for the same life sentence that Wooten received, with the exception of Wooten’s two other felony murder charges being dropped. Denver Wooten’s and Ivory’s cases are still open.
Wooden was the second felony conviction made by Angela Deem’s screen associate. Scottie Deem, Angela’s daughter, pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation in early 2019. Scottie was sentenced for three concurrent 20 year sentences. She completed only one year and three months out of the 20 years she served, and was released from prison in May 2020.
