It takes a lot to design a home that you love. First, there’s the difficult task of determining what type of home is allowed in your area. Then comes the tedious business of choosing the right exterior materials, heating/water solutions, and all the fine details.

These materials are also expensive because they’re built to last a lifetime or more (at least that’s what they used to be back then, do you remember how many mustard-colored refrigerators of the 1970s? They are available all over the place.

If you are a stickler for a particular aesthetic, which is understandable.

The couple who wanted frosted glass in their home to eliminate the need for blinds, opted for privacy glass that was very expensive.

They hoped that the house’s frosted look would keep passersby out of what was happening inside.

This was not the case.

A couple from West-Knoxville, Tennessee uploaded a video showing them making the astonishing discovery after looking into their home and seeing someone standing in front of it (with an internal lighting on).

They found that the frosted-glass didn’t give much room for imagination in The Santoms.

Jill and her husband wanted a small domicile experiment to test if passersby could see inside their homes through the frosted window windows.

They discovered that their privacy windows were not as private as they thought.

This isn’t about silhouettes. It’s not like someone is going to peek at your genitals, but these frosted windows are not a good idea if you decide to have a sexy moment with someone in the toilet, or if your body is bending over to wipe your butthole vigorously.

Jill stated, “One night I was getting my mail and my husband was up there in the bathroom with the light on and I glanced up and am like wow that’s really bright compared to the darkness of the neighborhood.”

This was when she decided to experiment with her husband. “I ran inside and said hey go up there and pretend you are taking a shower just so I can see if people have been seeing us for a year up in our bathroom. He took the task and really ran with it and did his best fake showering, acting he has ever done.”

To fix the problem, they decided to hang a curtains. Although it isn’t as simple or elegant as a single panel of glass you can’t see through, hanging curtains don’t make them have to worry about strangers observing what they do.

Jill’s TikTok video went viral and received a tremendous response. According to Jill, her TikTok account was made up of 20 friends that she had in real life before the clip was published.

She has 22.5k followers as of the writing. The couple continues to upload videos that feature even more frosted glasses tomfoolery. For that they remove the shower curtain.
