Liverpool are reported to be in a fight against AC Milan, Juventus, and Brentford for the right to sign Olympiacos wonderkid Aguibou Camara.
Camara has only been playing senior football for six months, but he is already one the most promising talents in Europe. He is also attracting the Reds’ attention.
His professional career began at Lille in March, when he made his professional debut. In the summer transfer window, he joined Olympiacos, the Greek giants.
The midfielder has starred since moving to the Athens side, becoming a regular in Pedro Martins’ team, making 17 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
With the versatility to play as a number 10, on the wing, in a front three or as a central midfielder, Camara’s performances have quickly drawn the eye of leading clubs.
He has already scored five goals this season and has two assists, including a brilliant opener in last week’s derby win against AEK Athens.
Camara also excelled on the European stage. He started all the Olympiakos Europa League group matches as they reached the knock stages with one match left.
These performances have set the stage now for a transfer battle among Juve Milan, Liverpool, and Brentford.
