Nicki Minaj is ready to rebuild her career after being dragged into a feud with Little Mix – while also being eclipsed by rap rivals.
The 39-year-old rap sensation shot to fame back in 2010 when she began releasing high-energy tracks – and started topping the charts.
Some music fans feel that she has been eclipsed in recent years by chart rivals. She also hit a bit low in 2021 when she started a war of words against British girl band Little Mix, sparking a row of words as she defended Jesy from a backlash for blackfishing.
Now, the singer is reportedly trying to reclaim her crown as a top-ranking artist by teaming up to Lil Baby.
Silver Screen Beat was told by a source: “Nicki is ready for a comeback and has got Lil Baby on board for her track, called Do We Have A Problem?.
“It will be released in the next few weeks.
“She has been hard at work in the studio over the past year and is hoping this can help gain her some momentum again. The video has been made to shock fans and she looks incredible, so it is all systems go.”
While Nicki’s chart comeback is imminent, Silver Screen Beat also hints she is likely to find herself in a classic chart battle as singing rival Cardi B is due to ‘drop a new song’She will also be able to take care of herself in the coming weeks.
Last year Nicki caused a stir when she hit out at Little Mix while defending Jesy Nelson – who became engulfed in a race row when she released the video for her debut solos single, Boyz, which featured Nicki.
She also referred to Little Mix stars Perrie Ewings, Leigh Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall “clowns”As she swung at the group.
And she also defended Jesy – who was accused of appropriating black culture in her music video by wearing heavy fake tan and putting her hair in braids.
