It is after Gigi’s mother Yolanda alleged that Zayn had abused her “struck”Apparently, he was planning to file a police report against her after an argument.
Gigi and Zayn have not yet spoken out about their split.
After the allegations came out, Zayn said to TMZ: “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”

Later, he took to Twitter to issue a statement in which he stated that he wanted to create “a place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart,”The incident was also added “was and still should be a private matter.”
He added that his main focus was to protect his daughter, penning: “But it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’Send it to the media.
“I am hopeful though for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.”
When Zayn and Gigi walked out together at the American Music Awards afterparty in November 2015, rumors of a relationship began to circulate.
Gigi starred then in Zayn’s PDA filled music video for PillowTalk 2016. They confirmed their relationship with Vogue in a May 2016 issue.
After nearly two years of marriage, the couple broke up for a brief time in March 2018. However, they were seen walking side-by-side in New York City and confirmed their reunification on Valentine’s Day 2020.
The couple confirmed Gigi’s pregnancy in April 2020. They had previously kept it secret during pandemic lockdowns.
