Ajax star asks Erik ten Ha to take him to Man Utd. He teases transfer

Brian Brobbey scored many important goals since his loan return to Ajax from Erik ten Ha, and this was before the Dutch manager moved to Manchester United

Brian Brobbey, Ajax striker, made a plea to Erik ten Hag for him to go to Manchester United. He then turned towards journalists and laughed as he claimed he was just joking.

Ten Hag was confirmed as United’s next permanent coach, but he has promised to concentrate on his Ajax responsibilities prior to taking over at the Premier League club. Ajax needed to score a late Brobbey goal on Saturday in Nijmegen, to break NEC resistance and keep the title race alive.

Ten Hag gave the young striker his debut as a teenager. He scored in a cameo against Fortuna Sittard, 2020. After the success of his breakthrough season, he was transferred to RB Leipzig. However, he has since returned on loan to Amsterdam.

After his goal, Ajax’s match winner appeared before the media and was asked about Ten Hag. The 20-year old was obviously happy for his boss, as it was the first Ajax match since the manager confirmed his next move.

“I am very happy for him and he really deserves it after everything he has done for Ajax,”Brobbey spoke. “If only he brings me with him in two years…. no no.. joking joking!”

Brobbey had scored four goals since his loan repayment. Brobbey netted two goals in a 3-0 win against Ten Hag’s club Utrecht, in January. A week later, he was on target for a win at PSV Eindhoven. This could be a significant step towards deciding the title.

It almost got better when title rivals PSV fell 1-0 away at Cambuur. The game was won by the visitors thanks to goals from Mario Gotze and Eran Zahavi.

“What I do like about the team is that they have remained calm,”Ten Hag said that ESPN reported the story to them after the game. Ajax website. “It didn’t get hectic. And then you also score the goal.”

“I could have chosen [Mohamed] Ihattaren or {Mohamed] Daramy as a winger [to replace the injured Steven Berghuis], but I wanted to score goals. That’s why I chose Brian.”

Ajax remains four points behind PSV, with four games remaining. Ten Hag’s team will next face PEC Zwolle at their home on April 30, while PSV hosts Willem II, the bottom side.
