Alabama Sheriff Pleads to Deputy who Allegedly Aided Killer Casey White Escape from Jail

As the search continues for Alabama murder suspect Casey White and the sheriff’s deputy accused of helping him, White’s ex-girlfriend is speaking out with a stark warning for the deputy.

“If she is still alive, get the hell out. Run, run, run as far as you can and turn yourself in,”The ex-partner spoke out, but declined to identify herself or be seen when she spoke with WAAY-TV.

Casey White was serving 75 years for trying to kidnap and kill the ex-girlfriend in 2015. According to reports, he once threatened to kill her in prison if he ever escaped. Now she is afraid he may be coming for her.

Just-released surveillance video shows the moment White escaped, allegedly with the help of deputy Vicki White — no relation. Casey White was handcuffed, shackled and held open the door by her. They didn’t exchange a word as she put him in her patrol car to drive him to freedom.

There is a $15,000 reward for their capture.

The lack of reliable sightings by the public is a problem for law enforcement. Casey White, at 6’9″, stands out from the crowd wherever he goes.

Casey White was taken to a county prison to await trial for Connie Ridgeway’s capital murder.

Rick Singleton, Lauderdale County Sheriff, made an appeal for Vicki White. He said: “My message to her is that she’s got 17 years of experience in this field of work. This is not the first time that she’s seen this scenario play out, and she knows how it always end. They always get caught. So the best thing she can do is turn herself in and help us get Casey White back off the street.”

Officials say Vicki White sold her home for $95,000 — a third of its real value. Investigators suspect that this may be the way they’re financing their lives on the run.
