SAS: Who has completed the course?

Alexandra Burke is hoping to lift everyone’s spirits by unleashing new ‘floor-filling’ pop songs now that she’s fresh from her SAS: Who Dares Wins victory.

The 33-year-old singer’s last album was her 2018 record The Truth Is which was packed full of ballads and soulful tunes.

Alex, however, is said to be planning a comeback to her pop roots with a brand new album. This will hopefully replicate her early success like the one she released after winning The X Factor 2008 in 2008.

The chart topping star has also drafted in hit music producers Dot Inc and Parx to create her new tunes – who previously worked with Sean Paul and Wes Nelson.

Silver Screen Beat was informed by a source “Alexandra is back in the studio and feeling more inspired than ever.

“She performed all of her hits at Mighty Hoopla in London at the beginning of September and the reaction was so overwhelming that it has given her the push to make huge floor-filling pop songs again.

“The music is really upbeat and just about celebrating life, love and having a good time.

“Her creative juices are flowing and she feels like a brand new artist after winning SAS. She’s got a lot more to give. Life is exciting again for her and she’s back in her happy place.”

Alex teased her fans on social media with little bits of new music.

She posted footage of her working hard to make new music on Instagram and wrote: “Album 4 studio sessions… I couldn’t be more excited!”

She wrote this while on Twitter: “I’m reflecting and feeling so grateful. Feeling good in my own skin to be confident enough 2 make music that sparks nothing but JOY inside of me. Grateful for my team… they push me. I can’t wait for you all to hear what’s next.”

Alex hit the top of the charts three times previously – including her debut single Hallelujah in 2008, first original single Bad Boys in 2009, and her 2010 song Start Without You.

Overcome, her debut album, was also on the top of the album charts. It sold over 1 million copies.

TV fans recently saw Alex win Channel 4 ’s brutal military training reality show Celebrity SAS: Who Wins Dares.

Alex was among three contestants who made it to the final challenge, and won the show.

Speaking to the Mirror earlier this month, Alex explained the toll the competition took on her – physically and mentally.

She stated: “I was crying all the time. If I saw an advert for the Army, I had a panic attack. That side of it was really awful.

“I did get therapy. I wasn’t sleeping well at all. I always thought there was somebody outside waiting to attack me. So I got a bit paranoid.”
