JewelShe brought her musical talents to American Song Contest—However, the top spot was taken by a Tennessee-based country singer.

The results of last week’s poll had to be released before the new group of 12 performers could take to the stage. The March 28 episode featured former The Voice winner and Kentucky representative Jordan SmithThe 56-member jury of industry professionals ensured that the semi-finals were automatically arranged.

Joining Jordan were Montana’s Jonah Prill, Kansas’ Broderick JonesNorth Dakota’s Khloe Fredericks. The fan vote saved Khloe after she was placed on the bottom of the three top contenders.

The acts advance to the semi-finals, which begin April 25.

The Grammy winner is now known. Macy Gray—who was representing Ohio—was eliminated from the competition.

Tyler Braden, representing Tennessee, performed country ballad “Seventeen,”An ode to youth nostalgia Giving off Luke CombsTyler’s positive vibes were enough to get this week’s automatic ticket to the semi-finals.
