This heartbreaking moment could have been worse due to Heche’s alleged use drugs before driving and the fire that resulted from the car accident. The fire and accident did not injure anyone else, but the house Heche crashed into was completely destroyed by firefighters. Heche was trapped in the vehicle for over an hour before emergency crews could rescue him.
Heche had been admitted to hospital since the accident. Video from local news captured Heche being stretched from the scene while she woke up from under a sheet. Heche sustained serious burns from the flames and smoke inhalation. Heche was taken to intensive care. “extreme critical condition.”Since her hospitalization, she has been in a coma.
“She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention,”An earlier statement from the actress’ rep was made during the week. Her family and friends stated that she was on life support until her organ status could be determined. Heche was hospitalized after police revealed that she had narcotics in her blood at the time.
