Many Hollywood movies have been described as cursed. The Exorcist Poltergeist. While muttering the word ‘curse’ can sometimes unintentionally undermine the victims affected by these tragedies, it’s safe to conclude the Alec BaldwinMovie RustIt could be as cursed and as popular as any movie. We had first fatal gunshots. Now we have near fatal spider bites.
‘Rust’ Set Woes Keep Getting Worse
Many still feel the effects of the shooting fatally on the set. RustCrew member Jason Miller was bitten by a brown recluse Spider a few weeks ago. The bite is literally eating away his arm.
Miller was a pipe rigger, and lamp operator. Rust, and while those titles don’t sound very dangerous, it would appear that everything that happened on the set of that movie was dangerous.
Deadly Spider Bite May Lead To Amputation
The bite of a Brown Recluse Spider is, unfortunately, quite the opposite. The bite is slow and painful. It can spread necrosis throughout the body, which means you are toxic from the inside.
Miller’s Family Helps
Jason Miller’s family have gone on to explain his condition in more details on his GoFundMeMiller’s family set up a page to assist him with his huge hospital bills. On the crowd-funding website, Miller’s family wrote:
“In a matter of days he experienced severe symptoms including necrosis of his arm and sepsis. He has been hospitalized and endured multiple surgeries each day as doctors do their best to stop the infection and try to save his arm from amputation.”
The best part about all of this is that the family requested $5,000 and the page has already raised close to $10,000. It’s frankly amazing to see people come together in order to come to the aid of someone in need, especially when that person is suffering so horribly through no fault of their own.
We send our thoughts and prayers to him and his family during this difficult time. And let’s just hope we don’t hear anymore horror stories from the set of this production.
