Anthony Martial’s troubles have ended “bad to worse”Sevilla, Spain is in a difficult situation during the summer transfer window.

Manchester United was able to find a buyer for the Frenchman when his agent disclosed that his client wanted to leave the club before January. A permanent move could not be found but Sevilla were happy to loan the player for a fee of around £4million.

Martial’s arrival was celebrated by the Spanish club with a lot of fanfare. This came at a time when Real Madrid were trying to capture La Liga. However, the situation has been disappointing ever since.

Sevilla has fallen out of the title race, With Atletico Madrid & Barcelona surpassing them in the wake of Xavi’s revival. The form has totally fallen off the cliff, with only one league win in six, including a loss to Barca by 1-0.

They were also eliminated from the Europa League by West Ham – a competition they are synonymous with. Martial was quickly dismissed by the club as a solution to their problems.

The forward has failed to score in six league appearances and has seemed less threatening each week. Although he has only provided one assist, it was a terrible return for a player who was supposed to be a key signing.

According to MarcaSport Witness has reported that Martial will be returning to United in the summer with no consideration for a permanent transfer. The Frenchman was convinced by his agent about the Sevilla project, but this plan has been abandoned. “bad to worse”.

Martial was told to drop Barcelona interest to make the move to Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. It’s left a taste for what could have been – especially when you consider the success of Los Cules under Xavi.

Sevilla was working on a way to bring Martial home on a permanent deal after he had initially arrived on loan. It was expected that the France international would smash the record transfer at the club – which currently stands at £22.5m for Rony Lopes.

Martial will almost certainly be returning to United, where his future is still uncertain considering that he attempted to leave in January. We will see if a new manager is able to revitalize Martial’s career.

Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino are the top contenders for Old Trafford. They both prefer attacking football. The Red Devils are looking to reduce their squad and might find it in their best interests to look for a new club.
