Mikel Arteta explains why Arsenal has such a great form

Eden Hazard suggests that he would like to join Arsenal.

Real Madrid forward Benjamin van der Sar is expected to leave this summer. After falling down in Spain’s pecking orders, he has been linked with a return into the Premier League. Chelsea as well as Arsenal have both said that they are monitoring his situation. His past comments regarding Arsenal could suggest a surprise move towards the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta was backed by the club after loaning out young centre-back William Saliba this season. Saliba arrived at the club as a highly-rated prospect but has spent the year back in his home country at Marseille – a move backed by former Gunners favourite Bacary Sagna.

Arsenal has lost to Liverpool in the Premier League.

Arteta backs over move

Bacary Sagna supports Mikel Arteta’s decision of sending William Salah on loan to Marseille.

Saliba, who spent last season at Nice and was then sent out on loan again this term, has not been able to make an impact in north London. Arteta’s decision to send Sagna on loan was made by Sagna, an ex-Gunners captain who believes Arteta understands the French defender’s desire to play.

Saliba has been a star in France, and Sagna is eager to see him back with his parent club next summer.

Hazard’s Arsenal message

Arsenal may find encouragement from Eden Hazard’s past comments to help them in their pursuit of Real Madrid’s ace this summer.

Former Chelsea star, he lit up the Premer League while at Stamford Bridge. However, things haven’t gone according to plan in Spain and he is being linked with leaving the club. Mikel Arteta is reportedly interested in bringing the player to the Emirates Stadium – and his comments about the famous Invincibles side could hint he’d be more than happy to link up with the club.

Liverpool talking points

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side suffered a disappointing 2-0 Premier League loss to Liverpool.

In the second half, the Gunners conceded twice as Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota got the better Arsenal’s defense to secure victory for the Reds. Arsenal took plenty out of the game, however. They had an exciting first period and Gabriel Martinelli lit up Emirates Stadium.
