The versatile England international international has struggled to cement himself in Arteta’s side this season.

Brighton are ready to stand firm amid interest in midfielder Yves Bissouma, who the Seagulls value at £50million, according to The Athletic.

Bissouma is a popular player in the Premier League. Liverpool, Manchester United, and Liverpool are all keeping an eye on Bissouma, while Arsenal have a long term interest.

Midfielders targeted

If Bissouma’s interest is not confirmed by the Gunners, Mikel Arteta may be looking at three other options for the Arsenal engine bay.

Lyon’s Bruno Guimaraes is thought to be a target, but at £40m Arteta may look elsewhere.

They may have been in talks with Juventus to discuss a loan agreement for Arthur Melo. But reports suggest that Palmeiras’ Danilo is a better option.

According to reports in Brazil, Arsenal have already submitted a £21million offer for the 20-year-old.

Defenders nearing exit

Arsenal could authorize both Sead Kolasinac’s departure and Cedric Soanes’s departure in the same window.

Reports say Kolasinac is a target of French Ligue 1 side Marseille L’Equipe.

According to the Mail, Arsenal are still waiting for Atletico Madrid’s loan offer to Soares.

Both players will have their chances reduced this season. Kolasinac’s contract is due to expire in June.

Mari is attracting attention

Pablo Mari, central defender, is another player who may be on his path.

The 28-year old has fallen down the Arsenal pecking order and now finds himself in a fight to free Ben White or Gabriel from Arteta’s preferred side. Rob Holding is also in contention.
