As demand for at-home kits spikes, fake COVID-19 tests increase

Federal Trade Commission Issued an alertTuesday was used to warn the public about fake at-home COVID-19 kit sales.

Omicron represents the majority of coronavirus cases. Due to this, retail kits prices have risen and there are fewer options for sale. 

“…fake and unauthorized at-home testing kits are popping up online as opportunistic scammers take advantage of the spike in demand,”In their alert, the commission noted.
