Bill Gates, billionaire, warned terrorists that smallpox could be used in busy airports in the future as a biological weapons.
The Microsoft founder issued a stark warning to the world leaders, exhorting them to prepare for catastrophes such as’smallpox terror attack’.
During a Policy Exchange interview, Jeremy Hunt asked him to call for a Pandemic Task Force of the World Health Organisation in the billions.
He indicated that, even though the research was expensive, it could lead to new innovations such as the elimination of the flu and the common cold.
Gates recommended that countries such as the UK or US spend. “tens of billions”To finance the research necessary to prepare the world for the next pandemic.

He said: “I’m hoping in five years, I can write a book called, ‘We ARE ready for the next pandemic’, but it’ll take tens of billions in R&D – the US and the UK will be part of that.
“A pandemic Task Force at WHO level will take about a billion dollars per year to create. This is where surveillance takes place and you actually do what I call “germ games”.

“You say, OK, what if a bioterrorist brought smallpox to 10 airports? You know, how would the world respond to that?’ Gates said.

“There’s naturally-caused epidemics and bioterrorism-caused epidemics that could even be way worse than what we experienced today.”
The World’s fourth-richest man, Gates, did offer some hope in his interview.
He stated that increased funding and preparation for pandemic prevention would help. “incredibly beneficial”.
He said it could lower the cost of vaccines, and that the new jabs could be small patches on the skin. This could eliminate flu and common cold.
The brainiac celebrated his 66th Birthday with Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, who flew to his superyacht in a helicopter.
Gates invited the retail giant as one of 50 guests for the exclusive 50-person guest list at the four-event off Turkey’s Coast last Friday.
