Tonight, Downing Street committed to publishing another “update”Scotland Yard has completed a police investigation.

After Downing Street spent hours refusing to publish a second report, it is now making a U-turn.

Sue Gray warns that she has been warned in today’s report “extensive substantive factual information”On No10 parties after interviewing over 70 people and looking at e-mails.

Police found out that Ms Gray had been gathered and gave to them. “well over 500 pieces of paper, about a ream and a half, and over 300 photographs”.

After Ms. Gray was asked by the Met Police to provide only some details, the report was stripped almost entirely of all details. “minimal reference”It was probing 12 gatherings.

Ms. Gray agreed to: “I am extremely limited in what I can say about those events. It is not possible at present to provide a meaningful report setting out and analysing the extensive factual information I have been able to gather.”

Furious Keir Starmer had said: “The Prime Minister must keep his promise to publish Sue Gray’s report in full when it is available.”

Tory MP Tobias Ellwood said: “I will not support the PM if he fails to publish the full report.”Tonight a No10 spokesperson said: “Given the police have said they are investigating a number of events, it would not be appropriate to comment further while the Met’s investigation is ongoing.

“But, at the end of the process, the Prime Minister will ask Sue Gray to update her work in light of what is found. He will publish that update.

“However the Prime Minister is clear we must not judge an ongoing investigation and his focus now is on addressing the general findings.”
