A businesswoman has gone viral on TikTok after she confessed that she spent thousands on a gold necklace for her pet cat.

Haliza Maysuri, the founder of Bawal Exclusive, spent a whopping RM25,980 (£4,500) on a piece of jewellery for her cat’s fourth birthday.

The Malaysian founder purchased the luxurious piece from the Habib Jewel store in Ampang and said her cat is one of the “most valuable” members of her family.

She said her husband has been attached to Money the cat, ever since they brought her from the pet shop as a kitten, reports Malay Mail.

And although the couple have two other cats, they said they have the closest bond to Money because she is not as fierce as the rest.

“My husband adores her very much and will take her for all his work trips or our vacations,” said Haliza.

“And while Money’s birthday is on May 9, we only got the gold necklace much later because, during that time, the country was still under lockdown.

“We wanted a custom-made gold necklace for her and gold is always a good investment.”

The latest gift follows years of previous lavish purchases for the feline, which include expensive cakes and a new outfit to wear every day.

The founder added: “Money also goes for her monthly grooming and spa session and is treated as one of the most valuable ‘family members’.

“She has always been a good cat and we look forward to spending more precious time together with her.”

The TikTok video has been watched more than 495,000 times with many users joking that they wished they were the feline so they could be gifted the same way.
