A pit bull puppy aged seven years old is the miracle survivor of a Colorado plane accident that left her owner and another man dead.

Chata sustained only minor injuries, including a gash behind the ear and some strains to her muscles.

A good Samaritan vacationing in the area of the plane’s crash-landed found Chata wandering through the streets. Chata was found by a vacationing good Samaritan who took her to a shelter where she was kept until her family could be notified.

“The owners then brought her here,”Arrowhead Animal Hospital staff veterinarian, Dr. Ashley MacDonald.

“I know that Chata’s family loves her so much, and her dad passed doing something that he loved doing with her. She even had little earmuffs in the plane when they would go up together,”MacDonald added.

“I’ve never dealt with a plane crash victim,”The vet said KDVR-TV. MacDonald stated that Chata was recently returned to her family and is doing well.

The veterinarian said she had no idea how Chata was able to survive.

“I don’t know either,”MacDonald added. “It’s a miracle, animals can do incredible things.”
