Clubbers were “trapped in nightclubs for hours” after being stung with needles by two girls.


At 2.30am police stormed Maverick’s 80s Lounge (Bingley), Yorkshire after receiving reports that two girls had been needle-spun.

Due to claims that two girls were spiked with needles, clubbers were prohibited from leaving a nightclub for approximately two hours.

Police arrived at Maverick’s 80s Lounge in Bingley (Yorkshire) around 2.30am Saturday to investigate reports that Maverick had drugged the girls. Yorkshire Live reports.

The establishment stated that it would increase its security and speed up searches in the wake of the incident.

This news comes amid increasing reports of women being spiked at bars and clubs in the UK. One girl was even left with a walking stick after being spiked.

Police say that reports of women being killed by needles have been disproven after one victim was allegedly suffering from cardiac arrest.

Witness Emma Louise (44), who was one of the Maverick’s prisoners, stated that the entire ordeal was “a nightmare”. “horrific”.

The mother-of-four stated: “Apparently two girls got spiked with needles in the club and the place got shut down and everyone got searched. I got locked in the club for over an hour and a half, it was horrific.

“Although I was okay because I am an older generation, the younger ones were a little more agitated.

“This sort of thing is all over the news at the moment and obviously you don’t think it’s going to happen in your area. I’ve got four boys, if I had a young lass I would absolutely be worried about her going out. I don’t think I’d let her out again.”

Maverick’s 80s Lounge issued a statement via Facebook later in the day to reassure customers that it had increased security following the incident. “stricter”With its front door search policies.
