Cristiano Ronaldo gets lost in his attempt to kick the ball towards the dugout

Cristiano Ronaldo was arrested for throwing the ball into the dugout following a throw in against Everton Saturday afternoon, during another poor Manchester United performance.

After his frustration at the Premier League’s latest defeat, the 37-year old was booed by Goodison Park fans. Their slim chances of finishing in the top four have slipped further.

Ralf Rangnick’s teams failed to score in an domestic away fixture for first time this season. The team managed only four shots on target. Ronaldo’s yellow card was the biggest impact on the fixture.

One spectator stated: “Massive win for us. Honestly only realised Ronaldo was playing when he got booked.”

You can add a second one: “He’s done things like that so often this season and never been booked for it.”

A third wrote: “Cristiano Ronaldo booked. Seemingly to remind the world he was actually playing today as he’s done f*** all.”

Ronaldo has scored 18 goals this season in 33 appearances in all competitions. Ronaldo had only one goal less than 30 since leaving United.

Even though he still has one year remaining on the contract he signed last season, it remains to see if he will be staying at the club with their European hopes in tatters next season.

Rangnick stated after the game: “If you don’t score one goal in 95 minutes, you must be disappointed.”

“We made a good start to the game, had control over the game in the first 25 minutes. We should have created more chances out of that domination in the first 25 minutes.

“After that, we conceded another deflected goal, and then lost some of our composure.

“Second half we tried to add more creativity and verticality with our substitutions, but didn’t always take the right decisions. In the end we couldn’t score a single goal in 95 minutes.”
