Al Roker, Deborah Roberts, are proud parents. The couple has two children together: daughter Leila and their son Nicholas. Roker also has a younger daughter Courtney who he shares with Alice Bell. Roker, Roberts and Alice Bell celebrated Nicholas’s latest accomplishment with them.
Roberts and Roker both took to Instagram to announce Nicholas’ great achievement. They shared several photos of their son including one where he proudly displays his award. Roker captioned his postingThe photo also included a photo of Nicholas’ parents, who were devoted to him. “This young man is an #inspiration and we are so proud of his accomplishments this year with @achillesnyc and @achilles_international.”
Roberts shared some kind words about Nicholas’ accomplishment, naturally. She began by saying, “Pardon us while we burst with pride over our favorite son, Nick, who was awarded the @achilles_international celebration of resilience award.”She went on to say how proud she and her husband were of their son, whom she wrote had faced any challenge. “strength and resilience.”Roberts also added “We celebrate his spirit and determination to work harder, run faster and rise higher during any challenge! Roker spoke out about his experience as a parent to his children in January 2020. On the Today ShowHe was trying his best. “be a better person”He also noted that his son has in particular inspired him to do better. The meteorologist explained that per Closer Weekly, “As a lot of parents who have kids with special needs [know], they can try your patience. Not that they mean to or anything like that. The thing I love about him, that I admire about him, is that he just kind of attacks it head-on. He’s very goal-oriented, and he’s a great kid.”
