Developer Mohamed Hadid’s $100M Illegally Built Mega-Mansion Will Be Torn Down after a Long Court Battle

After a decade-long legal battle the $100 million megamansion that Mohamed Hadid illegally built, which is also the father of model Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid has been ordered to be demolished.

A large part of the construction of the glass mammoth structure in Bel Air, California was carried out without permits. The judge declared it a clear and immediate danger to the neighborhood.

Angrily, neighbors had called the property “Starship Enterprise” because of its futuristic shape, which resembled a saucer. They were scared heavy rains might cause landslides, sending it down to the homes below.

The giant property was to be sold by the real estate mogul, but the legal battles meant that it remained unfinished for 10 years.

The property was bought by five million-dollar developers who agreed to tear it down in order to build a smaller, more intimate family home.

Hadid, who was accused of building a home that was larger than allowed by city codes five years ago, pleaded guilty. Inside Edition told Hadid that he was wrongly charged and that the demolition is a saddening experience.
