Disney changes the name of Splash Mountain after 33 years due to a rebrand

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will now be Splash Mountain. Beginning in late 2024, the change will be in effect for the Magic Kingdom ride at Walt Disney World. Charita Carter is the executive producer for relevancy activations at Walt Disney Imagineering. Anika Noni Rose, the voice actress for Tiana in the animated movie, issued a statement about this news. “It is really exciting to know that Princess Tiana’s presence in both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom will finally be fully realized! As passionate as I am about what we created, I know the fans are going to be over the moon. The Imagineers are giving us ‘The Princess and the Frog’ Mardi Gras celebration we’ve been waiting for, and I’m here for it!”

Because of Splash Mountain’s controversial past, the company was motivated to make the necessary changes. Song of the South1946 release of the film titled.
