Van de Beek joins Everton

Van de Beek, who had struggled for several minutes in Manchester almost the entire time he was there, looks set to join Everton at the end of the window.

Diallo repeats debut trick

Red Devils supporters might have tuned in to Rangers this weekend instead, but United is not playing.

It was Amad Diallo’s first appearance for the club since he joined on loan. He made a quick impact by tapping in at the backpost to give the Scottish champions the lead of 1-0. It was similar to his debut for United when he scored the winning goal.

The game ended in thrilling 3-3. Although his team conceded a goal in the 96th minute, Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst had plenty to praise the young forward.

“You could see his quality,”Van Bronckhorst spoke post-match. “He made the first goal, he was very good in the space at the back post.

“It’s clear to see the potential he has for the team. He’s got the talent but we had to take him off because he didn’t have the rhythm like other players have.”

Solskjaer makes history

Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer watched on on Sunday as his daughter Karna made her debut for the club.

The forward was brought on with three minutes remaining of the team’s FA Cup clash with Bridgewater United, which United won 2-0.

Her appearance makes Ole Gunnar and Karna the first father-daughter combination to represent the club.

“It was well-deserved, as I saw her perform the other day. So congratulations to her!” said manager Mark Skinner afterwards. “Although her dad is famous, she wants to be well-known for herself.”
