According to a study that examined 24,000 radio stations from 150 countries, Ed Sheeran was the top-ranked radio play in 2013.

It has been revealed that Ed Sheeran, the singer sensation, is now the most popular artist on radio worldwide. He beat Dua Lipa to this title.

The Shape Of You singer, 30 years old, received 4.3million plays per year. Brit Dua lipa, on the other hand, was only 100,000 plays behind the star with 4.2 million.

The Weeknd came in third with three million plays. Queen was fourth with 2.9 millions.

Maroon 5 from the United States landed 2.8 millions plays, making them the top five.

Ed’s “win”This comes just a few months after he was ranked the UK’s highest-taxed celeb.

The flame-haired singer is said to have handed over £12.5 million to the Treasury, according to the latest Sunday Times Tax List.

Pop music was clear as the favorite genre with 141,000,000 plays. But rock music, which received 79.9M spins, had seen a clear revival.

Ed will perform on February 8 at the BRIT Awards.

The O2 Arena in London will host the annual music awards ceremony. Doja Cat, Liam Gallagher and other performers will also be performing on the stage.

Adele was scheduled to perform but she pulled out after cancelling her Las Vegas shows.
