Elizabeth Hurley’s ‘Heart Aches’ as She Misses Ex-Fiancé’s Funeral

Elizabeth Hurley is still reeling following the news of her ex-fiancé’s passing. Hurley shared on Instagram that she couldn’t attend Shane Warne’s funeral because of a suspected heart attack. She wrote a heartfelt tribute to Warne, even though she was unable to be there in person. Hurley and Warne are Engaged from 2011 to 2013.

Hurley shared some throwback photographs from their engagement celebration on Saturday. She said that all their children, Hurley’s son and Warnes three children, were there and that they had a great time. “happiest time.”The actor also wrote in the photos that she couldn’t attend Warne’s funeral in Australia. “heart aches”It was because of it. Hurley said that she was filming on the night prior to the funeral and would not have made it in time. Daniel Andrews, the Victoria state premier, granted Warne a state funeral. 

“It still hasn’t really sunk in that he’s gone,”She continued. “It seems too cruel that all the people who loved him will never have another Lion hug, but our memories will live forever. RIP my beloved Lionheart.”Hurley got engaged to Warne on October 11, 2011, three months after Arun Nayer’s divorce. Although they eventually bought a house together, they never went to the altar. MPC Entertainment, Warne’s management, announced his passing in March. They stated that per CNN, “It is with great sadness we advise that Shane Keith Warne passed away of a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand today, Friday 4th March. Shane was found unresponsive in his Villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”Warne Survived by his three childrenBrooke, Jackson, Summer and Simone Callahan, his ex-wife.
