Emily Andre claims she doesn’t ‘make a big deal’ about being naked with her kids in order to encourage body confidence.
The NHS Hero says she will not be too “critical”Before her children Theo & Amelia, she talked about her body.
Writing in her OK! MagazineEmily said that it was never an issue if her kids come in to see her while she’s getting dressed.
She said she manages her body self-criticism before them and it is for good reason. The mum said that she does not want her children, Amelia, 8 and Theo, 5 to worry about their appearances.
Nurse Emily wrote: “On Loose Women last week, the panellists were discussing when the right time is to stop being naked in front of your children.
“Frankie Bridge said that Wayne and her are a couple. “quite a naked family” and said she wouldn’t cover up unless her sons expressed that they were uncomfortable.
“I don’t think there is a set age or time and I think it depends on what you’re comfortable with and what they’re comfortable with.
“I don’t make a show of parading around naked – and it’s not like I do the housework with no clothes on – but if the kids happen to be around when I’m getting changed I don’t make a big deal out of it.
“It would also be more noticeable if it was covered up immediately.
“But we have had conversations with the kids about who can and can’t see each other with no clothes on so they know that it’s only me and Daddy.
“Another thing I am very conscious of is not being critical of my body in front of them since they were young. I want them to feel confident about their bodies as they grow up.”
In her column, Emily spoke about their Easter holiday with the kids – telling all about her trip to IKEA.
The mum also spoke of her sorrow for Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez after the death of their baby boy was announced last week.
