FA Cup semi final draw: Five teams discover their fate

-

The draw for the FA Cup semifinals has been completed with Chelsea, Manchester City and Crystal Palace being drawn. Liverpool, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and Liverpool all finding their fates.

Manchester City will host Liverpool or Nottingham Forest while Chelsea will host Crystal Palace. Both matches will be held at Wembley Stadium, on April 16th and 17. To determine the fourth spot in the draw, Forest will take on Liverpool at the City Ground later today.

Chelsea secured their place among the last four after Middlesbrough’s incredible run. They were defeated by Romelu Liku and Hakim Ziyech’s goals. Manchester City beat Southampton at St Mary’s in order to keep their hopes alive for a historic triple.

Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace inflicted more misery on Frank Lampard and his Everton side. They won at Selhurst Park earlier today with a 4-0 victory.

The Eagles are making their first appearance in the semi-finals since 2015/16 when they were beaten by Manchester United. Chelsea will be making their fifth semifinal appearance in six seasons. City, however, is aiming to reach only their second final in nine years after losing at the semi-final stage of both the previous two seasons.
