Another joke: “Those Man Utd fans getting the hump over a lack of transfer activity must be pretty happy to get that Howard Webb deal over the line.”
“Yeah United have done the deal of the summer here,”One third of the comments were made, while another fourth was added. “Man United aren’t busy in the transfer market cos they’ve spent their budget buying the league chief ref slot.”

Webb was deported to the Championship for one week in April 2009. He had given United a penalty when they were 2-0 down against Tottenham. This was converted by Cristiano Ronaldo, before United won 5-2. Later, he admitted that it was. “a mistake”.
