But BT Sport, broadcasters, sparked fury from fans when they missed the start of extra time. This was due to ads running late. Fans were furious at the Twitter mishap in a thrilling game that viewers adored every second of.
One tweeted: “Wow that’s pretty shocking to miss the start of extra time.”
A second: “Did BT Sport really just miss the start of extra time because they were playing adverts? That’s shocking!!!”

Riyad Maharez’s 73rd minutes strike appeared to have secured City’s spot in the final. Real fans were left heartbroken and fled the Bernabeu. Rodrygo, the Brazilian substitute, made a remarkable two-minute turnaround by scoring two goals in extra time to force play.
