Dr. Jill Biden, First Lady, tested negative for coronavirus Sunday. Officials said she would join President Joe Biden at their Delaware Beach House.
While the couple was on vacation in South Carolina, she tested positive for COVID-19. Biden has remained there since.
The White House announced Tuesday the retirement of the 71-year old FPositive results were obtained by the irst LadyFor the virus. On Monday, she first experienced mild symptoms.
Officials stated that she has been twice-vaccinated, and twice-boosted by the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination, like the president.
After battling COVID-19 reinfections on Aug. 7, the Commander-in-Chief, 79, recently left isolation.
While Biden was still isolated, doctors prescribed Biden Paxlovid. Biden received the antiviral pills and was negative for coronavirus in two subsequent tests.
“After isolating for five days and receiving negative results from two consecutive Covid-19 tests, the first lady will depart South Carolina later today for Delaware,”The New York Times was provided with a statement by Elizabeth Alexander, her communications director.
