David Morgan was due to fight Zack Johnson on Saturday night at BKFC New York, but he got into an eating contest hours earlier and was forced out of the event.

After entering an eating contest hours before his scheduled start, a bare-knuckle fighter was forced to be removed from the fight.
Zach Johnson was to face David Morgan at Saturday’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in New York.
Johnson was then ejected by BKFC as photos of Johnson stuffing his face emerged.
Morgan has two bare-knuckle victories to his credit, having been stopped by Travis Thompson (BKFC veteran) in February and fighting at an BYB event on July.
Johnson, his opponent, has never fought in the bare-knuckle. Johnson had six professional boxing fights to his name and had lost all of them by stoppage.
An Instagram user shared a photo of Morgan eating with him, and the naked-knuckle fighter appeared to have won.
“Me trying to beat 135/145lbs bare knuckle fighter, Dave Morgan, at an eating contest and failing miserably. This dude ate possibly three times more than me and Knuckle Up Shawn combined,”The user wrote.

Morgan’s opponent Johnson was expected to make his debut at New York’s bare-knuckle event.
To get a shot at the card, he attended the New York BKFC tryouts.
“I had an alright showing in my eyes, but I thought I could do better,”Johnson spoke highly of Johnson’s performance during the tryouts.
After the withdrawal of his opponent, Johnson had only days to prepare himself for his fight against Morgan.
Morgan stated that he was being left “blinded”In one eye following his latest bare-knuckle battle in July.
“We came in, kind of tied up. I don’t know what put me down but I know I fell,”He said Bare Knuckle NewsOf the fight.
“My corner said he threw two or three punches, then I went blind in my eye. I tried to fight on but the ref made me stop and he called it, as it was a no-contest.”
Morgan was not able to fight on the BKFC card. Arnold Adams defeated Joey Beltran in the main event to become the new heavyweight champion.
