Four dismembered bodies discovered at popular Spring Break resort

Four men were dismembered at a Spring Break hotspot.

The shocking discovery was made today in Mexico (Thursday, 24 March 2014), and the National Guard was called in.

Noticaribe, a local Mexican news outlet, reported the sad news. The incident took place in Villas del Sol, Playa del Carmen, at the height of popular celebrations.

Only a small group of sanitation workers found the bodies.

All four victims are believed to have been males.

At this point, there are no Mexican officials who have responded to the news.

Today marks the beginning of a curfew for Miami spring-breakers. This follows a season marred with mass violence and five victims to shootings.

According to police, nine officers were injured since the Spring Break started.

A midnight curfew has been imposed by city officials who declared a state of emergency – but some have slammed leaders saying it’s an “overreaction”.

Stephen Hunter Johnson is a member of Miami-Dade’s Black Advisory Board. He told the Miami Herald: “The only emergency is that black people are on the beach.

“I don’t understand how this town has been doing spring break for at least 25 years and can’t figure it out.”

Melba Pearson (a civil rights attorney) said: “Everything I’ve observed has been peaceful, just kids trying to have a good time, that’s all I’ve been seeing.”

She said she didn’t see the need to enforce a curfew despite violence.

“It’s an absolute overreaction,”According to her, she spoke for the Miami Herald.

The officials placed a curfew between 12am and 6am on Thursday and Sunday. More restrictions could be in place during the weekends.
