House of the DragonAnother hit for HBO is “The Other Half”, which has received high ratings. Game of ThronesYou commanded them and you exceeded them. It’s a blessing that fans enjoy the series, even though it was initially grueling.
George R.R. Martin was the original creator. Martin doesn’t think the series is being done in the right way. During a Q&A with Penguin Random HouseMartin explains that writers for the new series were having fun debating the best place to begin the series. TV InsiderOne writer wanted the story to begin right at the screams and cries of Aemma Arryn (the wife of King Viserys II Targaryen), as she was dying in childbirth. We need to remind you how awful it is.

Other writers wanted the series to begin almost at the same time as the ending of the first season, when King Viserys succumbs to his terrible illness. Martin would have gone further back in time, however.
“The other possibility we discussed – which was actually my favorite, but nobody liked it except me – I would have began it much earlier,”Martin said. “I would have began it, like, 40 years earlier, with an episode I would have called ‘The Heir and the Spare,’ in which Jaehaerys’ two sons, Aemon and Baelon, are alive. And we see the friendship, but also the rivalry, between the two sides of the great house.”
He explained that during this time there was a succession beef, similar to what we are about see in The Dance of Dragons. “Aemon dies accidentally when a Myrish crossbowman shoots him by accident on Tarth, and then Jaehaerys has to decide who becomes the new heir. Is it the daughter of the older son who’s just died, or is it the second son, who has children of his own and is a man, and she’s just a teenage girl?”He adds.
The book Fire and BloodThe series’ inspiration is based on the book. It tells the story of Targaryen kings starting at the beginning of Aegon’s Conquest. This covers past the Dance of Dragons to the immediate aftermath. The book is not part of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, except for the setting and the familiar characters.

Fans are still waiting for the release of Winter’s WindsWhich Martin claims Martin is approximately 3/4 completeThis is the point. He spoke out in more force about the possibility of certain changes to works being translated from screen to page, something he does not support.
“There are changes that you have to make – or that you’re called upon to make – that I think are legitimate. And there are other ones that are not legitimate,”Martin said. “I was new to Hollywood…I didn’t say, ‘You’re f-ing morons.'”
