Gogglebox viewers were confused Friday night when fan-favorite Jenny Newby was missing from the Channel 4 latest episode.
As viewers tuned in to the commentary program, which reviews the top shows on television this week (and was viewed by millions), they were introduced to Simon and Jane from North London.
The dynamic duo was praised for their criticisms of TV scenes, including those from Strictly Come Dancing, The Love Trap, and Netflix show You. Many viewers also shared their admiration online.
But many viewers couldn’t help but notice the fact that Jenny and Lee, who have been a part of the show since 2014, were missing from the show.

Twitter was used by many to voice their concerns and to post comments online about the show. Many asked when the comedy duo would be back on the show.
One user penned: “Where are Jenny and Lee this week?”One person pointed out how they “really missed”The pair.
A third called in with: “Will they be back?”As a third quipped “What’s happened tonight … No Jenny and Lee?”

Luckily, there was a simple explanation for their absence from this week’s show after Jenny and Lee shared a celebratory birthday post from their joint account on Instagram.
Lee and Steve posted a sweet picture as they were enjoying a sunny holiday in Cyprus.
He captioned the sweet snap with: “A big happy birthday Steve now lets celebrate the Cyprus way.”

Soon, fans flooded the happy couple with their sentimental comments as they sipped on the sun from overseas.
Ellie Warner, another Gogglebox star wrote: “Happy birthday Steve,”A variety of celebratory Emojis.
This comes just a few days after Paige Deville declared that she would be taking a break from social media because of constant death threats since she quit the show.

The 25-year old announced her resignation from the show last month. “long hours of filming, restrictiveness, control of our actions and opinions and zero aftercare support.”
It has been reported that she was upset with her mum, and her co-star Sally Hayward. This has led to her sudden departure.
Paige admitted this in a recent interview to BirminghamLive: “I received a lot of positive messages when I left the show from people online, but I also received a lot of hate.
“Really nasty stuff. One person said, ‘Just kill yourself’. I have lots of hateful messages like that.”
