While the UK mourned and performed its duties in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, there are some grief periods that don’t stop. Jack, Household Cavalry soldier “Jak”Burnell-Williams is a good example.
According to ExtraMilitary personnel will continue to grieve Burnell-Williams’ death in his barracks. The monarch’s 18-year-old daughter was a major part of her state funeral. She marched beside her coffin as a “symbolic display of protection.”He was there with the coffin, from Westminster Abbey to the Wellington Arch.

“It is with sadness that we can confirm the death of Trooper Jack Burnell-Williams on 28 September 2022 at Hyde Park Barracks. Our thoughts are with the soldier’s family and friends at this difficult time and we ask that their privacy is respected,”A statement from the Army was read.
Burnell-Williams died in London on Wednesday, mid-day. Police confirmed that there was no foul play in the death. “Officers will assist with preparing a report for the coroner,”Police provided a statement.
After learning about Burnell-Williams’ passing, his mother posted her reaction to social media. “Never ever thought I would be saying this but we as a family are all heartbroken with the sudden passing of our wonderful son Jak Williams yesterday,”His mother wrote the following Facebook post.
On Saturday, a special event was held in his honor at the Bryntirion Football Club Bridgend, South Wales. The event was organized by family and friends.
King Charles III, who has succeeded Elizabeth as head of the Royal Family, made clear his goals for being monarch by announcing the death of Elizabeth. He also summarised the feelings of the family toward Queen Elizabeth, as well as the feelings of the rest.
“We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world,” Charles said. “During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which The Queen was so widely held.”
