Hate Campaign Against Meghan and Prince Harry Discovered

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both spoke out repeatedly about the hate they received online. Bot Sentinel is a Twitter analytics company that sheds some light on the hatred the royal couple has faced. According to Buzzfeed, According to the service, there was a coordinated campaign of harassment against Markle via Twitter. The service noted that Harry and Markle have been subject to harassment from 83 accounts. 

Bot Sentinel reported that it had analyzed more 114,000 tweets concerning Harry and Markle. While there are plenty of negative posts about the couple on the internet, Bot Sentinel discovered that only 83 accounts were responsible for 70% of the negative content. These accounts were created to spread negative messaging about Harry and Markle. These accounts have a total of 187.631 followers. 

A spokesperson for Twitter released a statement Buzzfeed Tell the publication about this report “actively investigating the information and accounts referenced in this report – we will take action on accounts that violate the Twitter Rules.”After the service’s findings were revealed, Christopher Bouzy (Bot Sentinel’s CEO) spoke to the outlet. According to the CEO, they had never witnessed such a targeted hate campaign like that against Harry and Markle before. Bouzy said, “There’s no motive.”He said, “Are these people who hate her? Is it racism? Are they trying to hurt [Harry and Meghan’s] credibility? Your guess is as good as ours.”

Harry and Markle have spoken out against the hatred they receive online for years.
