HBO Max Cancels Looney Tunes Movies

Six animated projects in various stages of development for HBO Max are no longer being considered for the streaming service. This includes the much-anticipated Batman: Caped Crusader The movie stars in two films Looney Tunes characters. Warner Bros. The Warner Bros. Animation Shows are not Technically canceled, as they will be shopped to other outlets and are all still in production, reports TVLine.

The news comes as several shows and movies have been canceled or pulled from HBO Max as the new leadership at Warner Bros. Discovery is preparing for the possible HBO Max-Discovery+ combined platform. Warner Bros. has not yet announced the launch of the new platform, but it is expected to launch in the summer 2023. Discovery has already made some announcements regarding changes to their platforms in order to integrate their brands. Discovery+ will soon get a CNN hub, and Chip Gaines’ Magnolia Network (Joanna Gaines) will soon be present at HBO Max.
