All the attention on HBO Max and HBO Max has been about what viewers won’t see, but there was news this week about a show they will. The White LotusPremiere in October VarietyWednesday, reported. This will be more than a year since Season 1, which aired between July 2021 and August 2021.
The White LotusSeason 2 will take place in a White Lotus resort on Sicily, Italy. It is similar to Season 1, where a group made up of flawed people stayed in a White Lotus resort, Hawaii. While most of the cast is new, a few from Season 1 will return. After receiving an Emmy nomination, Jennifer Coolidge will reprise her role as Tanya McQuoid. Jon Greis, the man Tanya fell in love with and who was played Greg in the series, can be seen in the short footage in HBO Max’s teaser.
Simona Tabasco plays Lucia, the White Lotus manager, in a role similar to Murray Bartlett’s. Season 2 features Michael Imperioli (F. Murray Abraham), Adam DiMarco and Meghann Granno. Also, Sabrina Impacciatore stars as Sabrina Impacciatore.
The White Lotus Season 1 is among the most-nominated shows in the 2022 Primetime Emmys. The show received 20 nominations including Outstanding Limited or anthology Series. Connie Britton (with Sydney Sweeney), Natasha Rothwell and Alexandra Daddario were all nominated. Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writer for a Limited Series or Anthology Series were also nominated by creator Mike White. Coolidge and Bartlett were also nominated for Screen Actors Guild Awards.
In a new interview, VarietyCoolidge teased Tanya with many more challenges. “White Lotus 2 has something far more difficult in it than the throwing up,”Coolidge referred to a memorable scene from Season 1 Coolidge is a long-loved actor of Hollywood characters, thanks to his memorable performances in Legally Blonde and Best In ShowAnd many other things.The White LotusHer career revival was led by her.
“I have done one thing really right in my life,”Coolidge said Variety. “I’ve picked great friends. If Mike was never successful, and we just did White Lotus as a play in a little theater where everyone paid 10 bucks to see it, it would still be one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. Because it was a killer job that no one else thought I could do.”
“Whenever I’m lying in bed thinking about what I want to make Jennifer do, I know it’s something that she would not want to do.
