How Peru’s Disabled Soccer Players Are Training to Represent Their Country in the 2022 Amputee World cup

Every week, these men are here to train, work out, and be in tip-top shape in the hopes of being part of Peru’s first-ever National Amputee team.

Twenty-five players and coaches have been training once a week for over three years.

These Amputees from the National Soccer Association of Amputees are determined to fulfill their dream of representing Peru at this year’s Amputee World Cup. They also hope to make history in a national sport.

They will need to play the Barranquilla qualifier in March.

Both players and coaches are proud to have been a part of this historic moment.

But they don’t have enough money so they set out to create the Peruvian Amputee Soccer Federation. That way, they can raise the money they want, keep playing the sport they love on a higher level, and represent their country on one of the world’s biggest stages.
