Saturday Night LiveIt will be a different show for Season 48. Is the show preparing for another 50 years of success or are we just seeing it slow down to its final years. It is interesting to see how the television landscape has changed over the past summer, and what the cast’s fate will be.
The Emmys won the show once more. It added four new cast members weeks before its premiere and lined up three musical performers and guests for the first of the three shows. Teller went on, expounding his love for the show as well as the people who have walked the halls and brought laughter to the table. “I think about how many really funny people there are [on SNL] and how many of them are just as good a writers as they are performers, and I think that’s saying a lot,” Teller said. “Its such a collective effort and it’s nice to be part on an ensemble.”
He is open to the live format and will let his gut dictate the direction. He even borrowed a phrase of the Philadelphia 76ers.
“You get to kind of let it fly a little bit and enjoy it with the audience,” Teller adds. “It’s a formula they’ve been doing for a long time, So to steal a phrase from the Sixers, ‘Trust the process.’ I think that is kinda what you’re doing.”
