Yes, HBO Max’s true story is “Love and Death”.

Elizabeth Olsen stars in the limited series (WandaVision? Wind River) as Candy Montgomery, a real-life Texas housewife who murdered Betty Gore in 1980.

The show is yet another in a string of great HBO properties that Lionsgate Television has created. They also collaborated on the project “The Secret Life of Bees”. Big Little Lies The Undoing Love and deathIt looks like it will continue the momentum of bizarre tales.

Kelley wrote the series and it is based upon a collection articles that were found in Texas Monthly That share the same name (“Love & Death in Silicon Prairie”) along with the book Evidence of love: A true story of passion and death. Lesli Linka Glotter directs the mini-series.

What does ‘Love and Death’ mean?

DeadlineIt offers one of the most concise and bizarrely deranged descriptions possible of the show. “The series revolves around two churchgoing couples enjoying small-town family life in Texas, until somebody picks up an ax.”

Candy and Betty met at The Methodist Church of Lucas, and became close friends.

Candy Montgomery was fed up with Pat Montgomery and wanted to have an affair. “transcendent sex.”Betty met Betty’s husband inadvertently during a game of volleyball. She decided that Allan would suit her well because he “smelled sexy.”

After they got to know one another in church, their love for each other grew until Candy was able to tell Allan straight out that she was attracted.

It was Candy asking Allan to marry her. “would be interested in having an affair.”Allan was caught off guard by the direct question, but they quickly brainstormed and planned their affair routine. The amount of planning and consideration they put into it was quite impressive.

Candy would take care of the lunch preparations on the days they meet, so that they had more time. They figured they would need all of Allan’s two-hour lunch.

Candy would take care of booking a hotel room for the same reason.

They would meet once every two weeks on either a Tuesday or Thursday.

Candy was only available on days her little boy attended Allan Methodist Church Play Day Preschool. She picked him up every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 2, but she knew she would be using three of the four school days for other school and church duties.”

Well, as it’s easy to imagine, they did become emotionally entangled, and, well things took an evil turn, with Candy, a churchgoing mother just looking for an affair, killing another mother and the wife of her lover with an ax.
