Jennifer Lawrence was on a private flight when her engine failed and she was forced to land in an emergency landing. Lawrence spoke out about the incident in an interview with Vanity Fair, years later. The actor shared her thoughts about the experience and stated that she had mentally prepared herself for the worst.Â
Lawrence was about to leave her home in Louisville, Kentucky, at the time of the incident. Once she was on a private flight, trouble soon followed. The plane was 31,000 feet above the ground when one of its engines died. The plane was forced to land emergency, with the second engine failing as well. During their chat, Vanity FairLawrence claimed that Lawrence and other crew members believed that they would die that day.Â
“My skeleton was all that was left in the seat,”Lawrence recalled. “We were all just going to die. I started leaving little mental voicemails to my family, you know, ‘I’ve had a great life, I’m sorry.'”The Hunger GamesStar was then asked to explain why she felt the need for her to apologize. She replied that she had feelings of guilt.Â
“Everybody was going to be so bummed,”She continued. “And, oh, God, [my dog] Pippi was on my lap, that was the worst part. Here’s this little thing who didn’t ask to be a part of any of this.”Lawrence saw ambulances and fire trucks as they waited on the runway for an emergency landing. She started to pray at that moment. She explained. “Not to the specific God I grew up with, because he was terrifying and a very judgmental guy. But I thought, ‘Oh, my God, maybe we’ll survive this? I’ll be a burn victim, this will be painful, but maybe we’ll live.'”Lawrence still struggles with the effects of the incident, even though it was four years ago. She stated that she was made stronger by the experience. “a lot weaker”And that “flying is horrific and I have to do it all the time.”
Lawrence is now focusing on the positives, like her impending motherhood. It was announced in mid-September that Lawrence is pregnant with Cooke Maroney. Maroney and Lawrence were married in October 2019. Lawrence and Maroney were married in October 2019. You won’t likely hear much about their baby. In her interview with Vanity FairShe said she would do anything to preserve her child’s privacy. According to the actor, “But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can. I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”
