Fergie and Jennifer Love Hewitt are big stars. Both have dominated their respective industries at the peak of their careers. They don’t seem to have much in common, but did you know these former co-stars once sang back-up on a one-hit wonder song together?

Fergie And Hewitt Were Childhood Co-Stars

Before they became household names, both of these women were child stars on the Disney Channel variety shows. Kids Incorporated. The cast included Eric Balfour and Mario Lopez as actors, along with Martika, an up-and coming singer. 

One-Hit Wonder That They Didn’t Work On

Martika’s musical career took off with “Toy Soldiers,”The second single from her debut album. Martika. “Toy Soldiers”It reached No. The song reached No.1 on the Billboard charts. It was also certified Gold in the United States. It was Martika’s only hit, and VH1 named it one of the greatest one-hit wonders of the ’80s. 

Martika isn’t the only Kids Incorporated Star on the track though. She called upon her Disney co-stars Fergie, Hewitt Renee Sands and Rahsaan Patterson when she needed backup singers. 

Fergie And Hewitt’s Musical Careers

Both Fergie and Hewitt started music careers. Fergie was part of the pop trio Wild Orchid, while Hewitt had a solo career. Hewitt’s debut album, Love SongsThe Japanese version of the song, ”, was released only in Japan. It became a huge hit. 

After signing with Atlantic Records, she released two albums. Hewitt also recorded a song to the soundtrack. I know what you did last summer soundtrack and made several albums with Jive Records. Since the 2004 release of her last album, Hewitt has been out of the music business and has instead focused on her acting career.

Fergie remained in the music industry and was a huge success with Black Eyed Peas. They had hits like “Boom Boom Pow,” “I Gotta Feeling,”And “Imma Be.”The band took a break in 2011, but returned in 2015. 

Fergie said that she would not be performing with The Black Eyed Peas anymore in 2018. Instead, she focused on her solo career—she recorded her first solo album, The DutchessIn 2006, he was released Double Dutchess 2017 Hewitt and Fergie went on to have huge careers in their respective industries, but the former co-stars launched their musical careers with Martika’s one-hit wonder track.
