‘Jeopardy!’ Champion may be planting seeds to host his own game show

Jeopardy! Matt Amodio, champion of Jeopardy! is already getting used to his new life! It might not be his last appearance in public. Amodio, who won 38 games to begin the 2021-2022 seasons and collected over $1,000,000, has an upcoming gig. Amodio will host this week’s charity game. He will be hosting, moderating and answering questions during a trivia round. “It’s a surreal experience because I see there are people at the event who are really famous and have millions of followers on social media, and then there’s me, Matt,”Amodio wrote. “But it feels good to imagine that my name belongs on that list.”

Amodio did not mention that he wanted to be a host Jeopardy! He did not write about Jennings, though he acknowledged his respect for him. In fact, his greatest regret was losing before Jennings’ latest round began. “I’m holding out hope that whether it’s on the Jeopardy! stage or somewhere else, at some point our paths will cross. And the harder that path is, the more winds and turns it has, the sweeter the endpoint will be,”Amodio wrote the Newsweek article. “Although I have, at times, been concerned that my excessive fandom is sending the wrong message!”

Amodio is likely to be back on Jeopardy! He could be asked back to the Tournament of Champions after the season ends. Amodio acknowledged that he is anxious about the tournament since it will be filmed many months after he participated. Amodio is eager to portray Jonathan Fisher, the Florida actor that beat him in October’s episode. “I have visualized beating Jonathan in multiple ways, that includes some replay of the game I lost and some future play in Tournament of Champions. I’m sorry, Jonathan,”Amodio wrote.

Amodio completed his impressive feat. Jeopardy! Run in October with more than $1.5 million in winnings. FormerThe Big Bang TheoryMayim Bialik was the host. Amodio’s championship run included episodes hosted in disgrace by Mike Richards (ex-executive producer). Richards hosted the first five episodes, which were filmed right before Richards’ resignation as permanent host and days before Sony fired Richards as executive producer.

September Washington Post Interview: Amodio said that he was not bothered by the drama behind his record-breaking run. “I’m an introverted person; I’ve never experienced even moderate amounts of attention, much less this much attention,”Amodio stated at the time. “I’m actually kind of surprised I’ve enjoyed it.”

Jeopardy! Now, there is a long-standing champion Amy SchneiderAmodio has been following on Twitter for the cause of, “She’s so smart and fun to watch. I’m in awe. And, our Ohio connection is a good one to have. I definitely feel an understanding of a person if they share my Ohio roots,”Amodio wrote. “I really want her to do well, all the way up until the point we’re in a Tournament of Champions game together!”
