John Stamos mourns the loss of Bob Saget (‘Full House’ co-star): “I Am Gutted”

Full HouseJohn Stamos, the star of Star Trek, was among those who expressed sadness and shock at the death of Bob Saget. Saget and Stamos were together for the entire run. Full HouseLater, she made frequent appearances on the Netflix series sequel. Fuller House. Saget also appeared on Stamos’ sitcom Godfathered.

“I am broken. I am gutted,” Stamos tweeted Sunday. “I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much, Bobby.”

Saget was a star on Full HouseDanny Tanner is a widowed dad who calls on his brother-in law Jesse (Stamos), as well as his best friend Joey, to help him raise D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen). Full House enjoyed eight seasons, from 1987 to 1995. Later, Coulier, Saget, & Stamos were on the show. Fuller HouseD.J. Stephanie and Kimmy (Andrea Barber), reunited to raise D.J.’s children.

After Full HouseEnduring their separation, Saget and Stamos remained close to one another. They even proposed to each other. Within weeks of each otherThey would often go on double dates in 2017, as you can see on their Instagram accounts. Saget shared a photo of Stamos hugging in Project Cuddle for Stamos’s birthday in August 2019.

“You are the most wonderful brother anyone could wish for – You do so much to help so many – – even though you really didn’t help me with the release of this video. Kidding! It was for a good cause – Besides testing my heterosexuality,” Saget wrote that time. “I am so proud to have you in my life for the past 75 years. Here’s to another 75 my amazing brother. Love you, uh, duh… Oh, it’s Bob.”

2015 was a year that Stamos and Saget were reunited onscreen. GrandfatheredFox aired the short-lived sitcom titled “The,” which lasted just a few episodes. Stamos portrayed a man who is a bachelor for his entire life and suddenly discovers he has a daughter and granddaughter. Saget, Stamos’ on-screen friend, appeared in two episodes.

Saget passed away on Sunday. Just hours after performing a show near Jacksonville in Florida, Saget was discovered unresponsive at Orlando’s Ritz-Carlton hotel. At the scene, he was declared dead. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, investigators found no evidence of foul play or drug abuse. Saget was 65. His wife Kelly Rizzo, and his three daughters are his surviving relatives.
